With raid preparation quickly creeping up, it’s time again for gear spreadsheets and theorycraft! We’ve made an easy to use trinket spreadsheet that you can use to compare the stat gains from all of the pre-raid trinkets. Hit the jump to learn more!
For the average player, figuring out which trinket is actually the best can be challenging. How do you weigh the static stats against the on use or proc-chance stats? It can be like comparing apples to oranges. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
How to use the spreadsheet
First, head over to the original copy of the spreadsheet. Now, go to File -> Make a copy…. This will create your own copy of the spreadsheet that you can edit. The only areas that you want to edit are colored green. Leave everything else alone or you might change critical values. Once you have your own copy, you can use the drop down menus to do almost all of the work for you. “Equip” trinkets by changing their corresponding value to “Yes.” Want to see the stats if they are warforged? Change those corresponding values to “Yes.” Your spreadsheet should look something like this:
The red area all the way to the right gives you the stat results of the trinkets you “equipped.” This even includes the average stat gains from on use, internal cooldown, and real procs per minute trinkets. You can use this function to easily compare a trinket containing only static stats with a trinket with an internal cooldown stat.
Now, this is important. When you “unequip” a trinket what was warforged, you need to remember to turn the “warforged?” input to “no.” Failure to do this will make your stat results incorrect. For example, look at the image below:
Notice that I unequipped the Coagulated and Leaf trinket, but I left their “Warforged?” inputs on “Yes.” Now take a look at the results column. It shows you gaining stats despite having no trinkets equipped. You need to turn the “Warforged?” input to “No” after you unequip a warforged trinket!
