T15: Restoration Druid Best In Slot List

Welcome to Healcraft.net’s Restoration Druid Guide for Best in Slot gearing selection!  My name is Lavathing, and I will be this guide’s author.  As always, some of the selections below come down to very small mathematical differences, so some of the choices are based on gear availability and my personal discretion.

Introduction

As I stated above, some of the gear choices come down to very little differences in stats mathematically.  In addition, pay attention to which list you are reading below, as we have a few different ones.  The “Normal BiS” indicates your Best in Slot list with just normal item level gear (522).  “Heroic BiS” indicates your Best in Slot list with heroic item level gear and the placement of this gear within the instance is taken into consideration (535).  Finally, the “Absolute BiS” indicates your absolute Best in Slot list which includes heroic thunder-forged item level gear (541) and disregards the availability of the gear.

Finally, if you believe that one of the pieces I listed is “wrong” feel free to comment below or tweet us @Healcraft!  We strive for 100% accurate and up to date content, so reader feedback is essential!

Normal BiS

Head:  Helm of the Haunted Forest
Neck:  Soul Prism of Lei-Shen
Shoulders:  Mantle of the Haunted Forest
Back:  Constantly Accelerating Cloak
Chest:  Robes of Treacherous Ground
Wrist:  Hearthfire Armwraps
Hands:  Handwraps of the Haunted Forest
Waist:  Girdle of Night and Day
Legs:  Legwraps of the Haunted Forest
Feet:  Sandals of the Starving Eye
Finger#1:  Durumu’s Captive Eyeball
Finger#2:  Ro’shak’s Remembrance
Trinket#1:  Lightning-Imbued Chalice
Trinket#2:  Horridon’s Last Gasp
Main Hand:  Torall, Rod of the Shattered Throne
Off Hand:  Orb of Arcing Lightning

Most of this is pretty straight-forward.  We are taking the best gear with the most intellect and second stats (preferring mastery and haste over critical strike).  Remember, this is just normal mode non-thunderforged.

Heroic BiS

Head:  Helm of the Haunted Forest
Neck:  Horridon’s Tusk Fragment
Shoulders:  Mantle of the Haunted Forest
Back:  Drape of Blooming Nights
Chest:  Robes of Treacherous Ground
Wrist:  Vampire Bat-Hide Bracers
Hands:  Handwraps of the Haunted Forest
Waist:  Girdle of Night and Day
Legs:  Legwraps of the Haunted Forest
Feet:  Sandals of the Starving Eye
Finger#1:  Petrified Eye of the Basilisk
Finger#2:  Ro’shak’s Remembrance
Trinket#1:  Horridon’s Last Gasp
Trinket#2:  Spirits of the Sun
Main Hand:  Amun-Thoth, Sul’s Spiritrending Talons
Off Hand:  Orb of Arcing Lightning

This list shows our Best in Slot items with multiple things taken into consideration.  Obviously, we are trying to maximize intellect and second stats.  In addition, this list takes the placement of the loot in progression.  Meaning, I did not list any Lei Shen or Ra-Den heroic drops, as they are at the end and hard to get.  So, although stats weighed heavily, some of the choices that are very close numerically are instead decided based on what boss drops them.  Finally, I referred to Spirits of the Sun above.  I am talking about the heroic and fully upgraded version, thus being 517 ilvl.

Absolute BiS

Head:  Helm of the Haunted Forest
Neck:  Soul Prism of Lei-Shen
Shoulders:  Mantle of the Haunted Forest
Back:  Black Night Thundercloak
Chest:  Robes of Treacherous Ground
Wrist:  Vampire Bat-Hide Bracers
Hands: Handwraps of the Haunted Forest
Waist:  Girdle of Night and Day
Legs:  Legwraps of the Haunted Forest
Feet:  Sandals of the Starving Eye
Finger#1:  Ra-den’s Evolving Signet
Finger#2:  Durumu’s Captive Eyeball
Trinket#1:  Lightning-Imbued Chalice
Trinket#2:  Horridon’s Last Gasp
Main Hand:  Torall, Rod of the Shattered Throne
Off Hand:  Orb of Arcing Lightning

Above is the absolute best items for each slot of gear.  There is no consideration of what boss each item drops from.  Finally, we assume that all the items above that can be thunderforged, will be thunderforged.

Conclusion

I hope these Best and Slot lists have been helpful for you.  Once again, if you spot any potential errors or have a different opinion on any of our choices, please comment below or tweet us @Healcraft!  Happy Healing!
